#5: Treatment for Deep Vein Thrombosis and Varicose Veins
Even with no family history of vein disease, this 68-year-old man suffered from swelling, pain, skin changes, bulging varicose veins, and even Deep Vein Thrombosis in his legs. He suffered from increasingly worsening symptoms for 18 years until finding relief after a personalized treatment schedule laid out by Dr. Gardner.
Treatments for his venous disease reduced his leg pain, swelling, bulging veins, and even reversed some of the skin changes.
#4: Treatment for Venous Disease
This 61-year-old master mechanic became concerned when his right ankle started to drain periodically, so he scheduled a visit with Dr. Gardner. As a master mechanic, his work requires him to either sit or stand still for long hours. At his consult, he reported a history of venous ulcers, itching, and had visible pigment changes on his skin.
His personalized treatment plan included endovenous laser ablation in which veins are heated from within by a tiny needle stick so they collapse and are eventually reabsorbed by the body. These photos were 10 months after the treatment. The skin improvements are dramatic. His pain and swelling are dramatically reduced and he is now able to work without stopping to take breaks.
#3: Treatment for Aching, Swelling and Heaviness
As a nurse, this 47-year-old woman came in because she suffered from aching, swelling, heaviness, itching, tenderness, and leg swelling. Not only did she have a family history of venous disease, the long hours she worked on her feet during nursing shifts exacerbated her symptoms. After 9 years of experiencing escalating symptoms, she visited The Vein Institute.

#2: Treatment for Varicose Veins and Venous Disease
Suffering from swelling, pain, throbbing, aching, and worsening varicose veins, this 48-year-old woman came to us seeking relief. She also had experienced a blood clot in her right lower leg during her first pregnancy. While she was able to find some relief with leg elevation and compression, her symptoms were still worsening.
Previously she had tried sclerotherapy but without sufficient results. She decided to come to Dr. Gardner where she received endovenous laser ablation, microphlebectomy (where small nicks are made in the skin and problematic veins are teased out with only local anesthetic necessary to ensure comfort during the process) and sclerotherapy (in which veins are injected so they collapse and are reabsorbed by the body). She reported a decrease in pain, aching, and was thrilled with the improved appearance of her legs.
#1: Treatment for Restless Leg Syndrome
Unable to sleep solidly through the night because of aching, cramps, itching, heaviness, and restless legs, this 51-year-old female came to The Vein Institute seeking relief.
