Endovenous Thermal Ablation Treatment

Many people with varicose veins experience pain, sometimes described as an aching, cramping, burning or throbbing. These large, raised, swollen blood vessles that twist and turn typically develop in the legs. This 58-year-old female came to us hoping to eradicate her varicose veins and relieve her pain.

At The Vein Institute. she was evaluated by Dr. Gardner, who determined that Endovenous Thermal Ablation would be the best method of treatment.  Endovenous Thermal Ablation is a vein removal procedure in which a laser is used to deliver heat energy to the affected vein in order to collapse or close it. This will permanently seal the vein closed and elimate the symptoms associated with varicose veins. By closing the abnormal veins and leaving the properly functioning veins behind, blood is allowed to flow more efficiently and symptoms resolve.

These Before and After pictures of the patient show before. Her symptoms resolved, resulting in a significant decrease in pain in the leg. These results are typical for most patients.
